Where little hearts matter

OUR DIRECTOR

A few words from our center’s director about her experiences and how she came to work at Corridor Christian ELC:

Hello Parents!  My name is Melissa Schilling, and I want to start off by saying how excited I am to begin the next chapter of my life as director of this wonderful Christian Early Learning Center.   I have always known that I want to be in a profession that I was able to work with children, which is why I chose the University of Northern Iowa due to their wonderful education program. Once I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education I began substitute teaching in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area.  After one year of subbing I accepted a position with a non-profit agency in Waterloo, Iowa that allowed me to continue working with children ranging from preschool through sixth grade.  My husband accepted an opportunity that lead us to North Liberty, and then lead me to finding this amazing center. Twelve years in, and I am still in love with all of the families we serve!
